Secondly, the paint and cement residue from the previous render was removed. This was done by a combination of a needle gun, gentle power-washing and the simple yet laborious process of chipping away with a scutch hammer.
The brick infills were then ground back to accommodate the Lithomex repair material.
Next, the wet Lithomex was applied around the windows and front door.
The Lithomex was then tooled to match the existing stonework.
The lime pointing was applied
Finally, the chimneys were repaired, repointed and the whole building was given a wash-down. Below are the four finished elevations.
