Stone repair as beautiful as the stone itself

Lithomex stone repair mortar is the product we use to repair damaged stone. It is completely lime based. The common practice of using cement based renders for repairing delaminated and eroded weathered stone, creates an inflexible and non-breathable finish, trapping water and salts within the stone, and eventually leading to cracking and separation from the wal. This causes great damage to the underlying stonework. Lithomex contains no cement.

We use only the latest natural, breathable, lime based materials, such as Lithomex and Façade 400, for stone repairs. They can be specifically colour matched to the client's stone in several shades, so as to blend in with the existing surface.
We remove any loose surface material and dress the stone back to a sound base. The stone is then dampened and wet Lithomex is applied. We then shape and sculpt the Lithomex as it slowly cures, to give an extremely authentic restoration.

We believe that stone repair should be as near invisible as possible, and we make sure the repairs match the existing colour and texture of the weathered stone and not as the stone would have looked if new. We can, if required, add weathering, veining, clay-pockets, saw-marks, and small imperfections to our repairs, to give a more authentic look. We can repair any stonework, be it ashlar, rubble, sandstone, granite, and replicate any finish, be it mouldings, French drag, or smooth. We can do whatever the client requires.
Lithomex is a wonderful product but requires many years of experience and training to produce a high quality finish.
